Donald L. Butler is the CEO of Butler Squared Consulting, LLC, a full service firm performing accounting/bookkeeping, tax preparation, wealth advisory and business consulting services.  He leads a team of professionals who assist with managing a combination of clients’ accounting records and business operations; including taxes and retirement accounts.

Previously, Mr. Butler was the Director of IT Audit for Acuity Consulting, Inc., responsible for leading and directing the IT audit practice. He has over 20 years of accounting/audit experience with a combination of Big 4 (Deloitte and PricewaterhouseCoopers) and mid-level CPA firms.  He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Master’s of Science in Accounting and Information Technology from the University of Maryland University College where he now serves as an Accounting Professor. He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Licensed Agent, and Accredited Tax Preparer (ATP).

 

Mr. Butler currently works with the federal government as a contractor, supporting agencies such as the Department of Defense, Securities and Exchange Commission, and the U.S. Department of Education performing financial statement audits, audit readiness, and consulting engagements.  He has over ten years of banking experience, where he provided various financial services to clients.
